Mortgage firms strengthen teams with industry veterans

Seasoned professionals have stepped into new roles this week as the mortgage industry continues to recalibrate in a tighter lending environment.

Polunsky Beitel Green (PBG), a leading residential mortgage law firm based in Texas, has appointed Hannah Barton (pictured left) to its business development team. Barton, who brings more than 12 years of experience in mortgage operations, client success, and strategic partnerships, will be based in PBG’s Dallas office.

Barton most recently served as an account manager at Arch Mortgage Insurance Company. Her previous roles include senior leadership in marketing and business development at IDS, Inc., a provider of legal doc software for the mortgage industry. A Texas Tech University alum, Barton is a past president of the Dallas Mortgage Bankers Association and currently sits on the executive committee of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association.

She’ll be based in Dallas, where she’ll work closely with client service teams and attorneys to grow the firm’s national lender base.

“Hannah is well-known and widely respected in the industry, with deep knowledge of the mortgage lending landscape and proven track record of client-focused leadership,” said PBG principal Marty Green. “Her perspective from inside the industry makes her an ideal addition to our business development team.”

Meanwhile, Foundation Mortgage Corporation has expanded its account executive team with the addition of Shelly Seedorf (pictured center) and Tim Marsteiner (pictured right), both seasoned mortgage professionals with extensive backgrounds in non-QM lending.

Seedorf brings over three decades of industry experience, including senior roles at ACC Mortgage, Carrington, and Impac. Her expertise in Alt-A and subprime lending has made her a trusted advisor to brokers navigating complex borrower scenarios.

Marsteiner, a US Air Force veteran, has previously served at non-QM lenders such as NewPoint Mortgage, Acra Lending, and theLender. He is particularly skilled in DSCR, bank statement, and ITIN loan programs.

Foundation Mortgage CEO Marc Halpern praised the hires, noting their alignment with the company’s broker-first mission.

“Shelly and Tim bring decades of knowledge and a hands-on approach that align perfectly with our values. We’re excited to welcome them to the Foundation family as we continue building a nationwide team that brokers can trust,” Halpern said in a media release.
