Brokerage Rethink Financing becomes one of its seven business divisions
Property investment firm Rethink Investing has rebranded and restructured as Rethink Group, expanding into seven business divisions.
The company’s move signals a shift from traditional property investment to a more comprehensive wealth management approach.
The restructuring consolidates seven distinct businesses, including Rethink Financing, which is the group’s mortgage brokerage arm led by managing director Son Pham (pictured above left). Rethink Financing was listed by MPA as one of the top brokerages of 2024, while Pham was named one of the top commercial brokers in 2023.
“As Rethink Group embarks on this next chapter, we are excited to position Rethink Financing at the forefront of innovative property financing,” Pham said.
“By leveraging a diverse network of lenders and offering tailored solutions, we empower our clients to achieve their financial goals, no matter where they are in their journey. Our commitment to integrity, accountability, and innovative financing ensures long-term success for every client we serve."
The group’s leadership team also includes Mina O’Neill as director of Rethink Residential, Sam Saad as managing director of Rethink Property Lawyers, Trent Nolan as managing director of Rethink Property Insurance, Paul Harmsworth as managing director of Rethink Renewables, and Adam Stewart as co-founder of Rethink Commercial Education.
Under chief executive Scott O’Neill (pictured above right), Rethink Group has seen strong growth despite challenging market conditions. Over the past year, the company reported a 40% increase in client numbers, a 42% rise in staff, and a 40% boost in revenue. Additionally, the firm entered the New Zealand market with a new office opening earlier this year.
In the last financial year, Rethink Group facilitated over $786 million in client property purchases and is on track to reach $1 billion in the current financial year. O’Neill said this restructuring aims to meet growing demand for integrated investment services.
“Investors are no longer just seeking transactional support; they want a holistic approach that encompasses all aspects of their investment journey,” O’Neill said. He said that the firm’s shift reflects broader trends towards diversification, highlighting the interest in alternative investments like those offered by Rethink Renewables.
