Bankwest has named Laura Leckie (pictured above) as its new state manager of Victoria and Tasmania for third party.

Leckie brings nearly a decade of experience from Aussie Home Loans, where she most recently served as Queensland head of retail. In that role, she oversaw operations across 54 retail stores, reflecting expertise in leadership, recruitment, and sales management.

The company said Leckie had demonstrated a strong focus on broker relations, staff development, and people management – skills that align with the digital bank’s emphasis on broker partnerships.

“With the appointment of Laura, I look forward to building on how we continue to meet changing broker and customer needs, so brokers can provide the best possible experience for more customers across Australia.”

Commenting on her appointment, Leckie said she was thrilled to “begin a new chapter” in her career. “Taking my first step lender side, I’m delighted to be joining a brand with such a strong broker focus, and a team with such an incredible reputation,” she said.
