REIA names Rollason new CEO

The Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) has named Scott Rollason (pictured above) as its new chief executive, with his tenure beginning on Nov. 14.

Rollason has worked with member associations in both Australia and the UK, equipping him with insights into advocacy and member support.

Before joining REIA, Rollason was general manager at Family Day Care Australia, the national peak body representing family day care providers. His previous experience includes roles in Commonwealth Government departments such as the Attorney-General’s Department and the Department of Education, where he oversaw legislative matters.

He also holds board experience in the not-for-profit sector and currently serves on the governance, audit, risk, and finance committee for Dietitians Australia.

“Scott is a qualified lawyer with a strong background in organisational strategy, governance, insurance, financial management, government relations, policy, and lobbying,” said Leanne Pilkington, president of the Real Estate Institute of Australia.

She also acknowledged interim CEO Maria Edwards for her contributions during the transition.

“Her leadership has been invaluable, and we thank her for her service to the organisation during this transitional stage,” Pilkington said.
