Deal provides customers the choice of Bank Australia branded home, contents and motor insurance through Honey's digital platform
Bank Australia has entered a six-year partnership with Honey Insurance to enhance its digital offerings and cater to customer insurance needs.
The deal introduces Bank Australia’s branded home, contents, and motor insurance, utilising Honey’s digital platform and simplifying insurance distribution through seamless embedding into existing channels.
John Yardley (pictured left), deputy chief executive of Bank Australia, said that customer interests were central to their decision-making process, particularly in forming a partnership with Honey Insurance.
“We know access to digital products and services is becoming increasingly important to our customers,” Yardley said. “The partnership with Honey will give our customers access to a leading digital platform to provide a better experience when applying for and managing their insurance needs.
“Honey is focused on reducing the cost of insurance and making homes safer, and this is an area of focus we share. We look forward to working together and providing a smooth transition for our customers.”
Underwritten by RACQ Group, Honey offers national home and motor insurance through its digital platform. The platform simplifies the application process by minimising the required customer information and provides smart sensors to alert homeowners about fire, flood, and theft risks.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Bank Australia to offer their customers the benefits of our award-winning digital experience and smart home program,” said Richard Joffe (pictured right), chief executive of Honey Insurance.
“Bank Australia’s values of putting the customers at the centre of all they do and commitment to fairness and positive impact are strongly aligned with Honey’s, so this strategic relationship was a natural fit for us both. We are excited for Bank Australia to be Honey’s first customer-owned bank partnership and to support their leadership in the sector.”
