BankVic expands into broker lending market

New partnership will benefit government, emergency services workers

BankVic expands into broker lending market

BankVic has expanded into the broker lending market through a partnership with independent mortgage brokerage Loan Gallery Finance. The six-month exclusive pilot program will allow police, government, health, nursing and emergency services workers to access BankVic home loan products while receiving the benefits of using a mortgage broker.

With 67% of home buyers now using a mortgage broker when purchasing property, BankVic saw an opportunity to expand its home lending through a third-party provider.

“Loan Gallery is extremely proud to have been selected by BankVic for their third-party pilot,” said Steve Matsoukas, director of Loan Gallery. “The partnership has allowed our brokers to be the first in Australia to offer BankVic’s niche products to clients via the broker channel. It reinforces our dedication to offering our clients the widest choice of lender options, tailoring our advice to their specific circumstances.”

The partnership is designed to expand BankVic’s presence in the mortgage market and provide a wider offering for Loan Gallery clients. It will enable nurses, doctors, firefighters, police, coast guards and all government workers, including public school teachers, to access competitive mortgage rates and benefits unique to BankVic, Loan Gallery said.

“The addition of BankVic to our lender panel gives home buyers and refinancers greater choice and access to incredible, targeted incentives,” Loan Gallery said. Loan features offered by BankVic include 90% LMI waiver on owner-occupier loans and $1,500 cash back on owner-occupier refinances.

“At BankVic, we’re really excited by the opportunity to partner with Loan Gallery to make it even easier for police, emergency and health workers to access our great-value-for-money home loans and get expert advice and support from Loan Gallery’s brokers,” said Mark Smyth, chief growth and experience officer at BankVic.
