How often do you see brokers in a week?
I like to try and meet brokers 8-10 times per week.
What do brokers want most from you?
I think the most important thing brokers want from me is my experience and assistance with placing a deal with MyState. This helps them with getting a great results for their client.
What is your favourite part of the job?
I love being able to build relationships and help businesses with their goals.
What distinguishes the best brokers you deal with?
The best brokers listen to my advice and help their clients, they also have a high level of respect.
Describe your ideal weekend:
My ideal weekend would include a lot of retail therapy and spending time with my girls. Then later, cooking and eating a great meal.
What’s the strangest lending scenario you’ve ever encountered?
As a mobile banker, I was at a client’s house, which wasn’t the tidiest of houses. The client kept apologising for the mess, which was pretty bad as I wasn’t even able to sit on the chair properly, so I had to kind of sit awkwardly on the edge of the chair because of all the hair. I thought it was dog hair, but found out later it was HORSE HAIR! Turns out the client lets her horses walk throughout the house!
How do you like your steak done?
Must be medium to well.
Every Wednesday we’ll feature a different BDM from across Australia. If you’d like to be included, please email the editor.
