How often do you see brokers in a week?
10 – 15. It depends on what my week looks like but I aim to meet at least 15 brokers in a week along with attending PD Days, running accreditation sessions and allowing sufficient time to be available for responses to calls and emails.
What do brokers want most from you?
It depends on the stage of the relationship with the broker. Brokers usually want a solution from me, whether that is escalating their deals to meet deadlines or quick responses on their scenarios. If brokers are trying to improve or get ideas on certain areas of their business I put them in touch with other successful brokers that I know well.
What is your favourite part of the job?
The relationships I have built up all over Australia is my favourite part of the role, plus I enjoy helping my brokers with their customers. Everything I work on I try and think “How can I make my broker look good for their customer”.
What distinguishes the best brokers you deal with?

Describe your ideal weekend?
Sleeping in! However with a four year old that is usually very unlikely. Also I would ideally watch the Gold Coast Titans win, yet this is also unlikely.
What’s the strangest lending scenario you’ve ever encountered?
A few years ago when I was in a previous credit role, I assessed an application whereby the applicant didn’t have a job but won a “Set for Life” instant lottery ticket they wanted to service the loan with. As much as I love thinking outside the box I couldn’t sign off on this one.
