How often do you see brokers in a week?

Multiple face to face meetings are held every day on both a scheduled and broker requested basis.

What do brokers want most from you?
The ability to quickly workshop various lending scenarios and provide support with financial analysis or the structuring of a transaction as required.

What is your favourite part of the job?
Helping brokers deliver a positive solution for their clients and seeing new commercial brokers grow in confidence as their deal flow increases.

What distinguishes the best brokers you deal with?
The most proficient and active commercial brokers I have come across over the years tend to have an established referral network which produces a regular flow of good quality lending transactions. These brokers will also often come up with more than one solution to meet a client’s needs after prioritising each of the important considerations involved in the deal.

Describe your ideal weekend.
I am into cycling in a big way and love to put at least a few hours on the bitumen every weekend.

What’s the strangest lending scenario you’ve ever encountered?
Every loan is unique and at times they have a few unforeseen twists and turns. The $100m hotel construction in Romania was a good one.

How do you like your steak done?
Medium rare.
