This week meet Sally Carmichael, Homeloans BDM for Western Australia. Before entering the industry she worked in the UK as PA for the principal of a college.
How often do you see brokers in a week?
I see brokers Monday to Friday, face to face is a must for a BDM. I often bump into brokers on the weekends at my local shopping centre and take the opportunity to have a chat then!
What do brokers want most from you?
I find that brokers want a straight, quick answer and often need me to help them find a solution within our product suit
What is your favourite part of the job?
I enjoy the diversity of the products that we offer and finding solutions within them for brokers. Its always a great buzz to get a deal turned around and over the line.
What distinguishes the best brokers you deal with?
Knowledge, integrity, honesty and attention to detail.
Describe your ideal weekend:
Warm weather, around the pool with my family and friends and skyping my granddaughter.. perfect!
What’s the strangest lending scenario you’ve ever encountered?
I had a scenario for a start-up business, which is acceptable, however the business was a dog hotel, they must have been barking mad!
How do you like your steak done?
Not mooing.. lol Medium rare.
