Roy Morgan survey ranks bank as the nation's most trusted financial institution for the 12th consecutive quarter

Bendigo Bank has been recognised as Australia’s most trusted bank for the 12th consecutive time in Roy Morgan’s nationwide survey on brand trust.
The ranking, released quarterly, assesses 1,000 brands across 20 sectors based on customer trust levels. The results are drawn from an annual survey of 60,000 Australians. Bendigo Bank has held the top spot among banks in every survey since March 2022.
Sarah Bateson (pictured above left), chief marketing officer at Bendigo Bank, attributed the achievement to the bank’s customer-centric approach.
“This ranking speaks volumes about our customer-first approach to banking as we strive every day to make fans of our 2.7 million customers,” she said. “We sincerely thank our customers and communities for the trust they place in us.”
Bateson also highlighted the bank’s strong net promoter score, which she said consistently outperforms the industry average.
“We are a genuine and credible competitor to any bank in Australia, with customers attracted by our quality products, services and brands,” she said.
Beyond the banking sector, Bendigo Bank ranked 13th among all Australian brands in the latest Roy Morgan survey.
The recognition comes as the bank recently reported cash earnings of $265.2 million for the half-year, with a statutory net profit after tax of $216.8 million. Chief executive and managing director Richard Fennell (pictured above right) noted strong customer demand for lending and deposit products, contributing to the bank’s balance sheet growth.
“We have experienced significantly increased demand for both lending and deposit products from our customers, which has led to the strongest balance sheet growth we have experienced in some years,” he said.
Fennell, who stepped into the CEO role last year, has been tasked with driving sustainable growth and maintaining Bendigo Bank’s position as one of Australia’s most trusted financial institutions.
