The bank also won the recognition last year
Bendigo Bank has retained its position as Australia’s most trusted bank for the second year in a row – a recognition unveiled at the recent Roy Morgan Most Trusted Brand Awards gala event.
Marnie Baker (pictured above), CEO and managing director of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, extended her appreciation to the bank's 2.4 million customers for the honour, having previously received the award at the inaugural Trusted Brand Award event last year.
“This award recognises the hard work of our people, who put our customers at the centre of everything we do,” Baker said. “Our quality products, friendly service and leading digital offerings are just some of the reasons why we’re consistently recognised as the most trusted bank in the country.”
The Roy Morgan Trusted Brand Awards recognize exceptional levels of trust within 20 leading brands across various industries and services, including supermarkets, retail, department and discount department stores, services, charities, automotive, superannuation, insurance, utilities, government services, media, mining and petroleum, banks, and telecommunications.
Baker said Bendigo Bank was proud to nab back-to-back awards and highlighted the bank’s strong position to continue delivering on its purpose and serving its customers and communities. Bendigo Bank also reported a 10% increase in customer numbers, reaching 2.4 million in the year ending June 30.
“We are a bank with heart and heritage,” Baker said. “Our connection with our customers and community, our regional roots and our position as Australia’s most trusted bank help us deliver for our customers in a way that cannot be replicated.”
Bendigo Bank’s latest accolade follows its recognition as the most trusted agribusiness bank among Australian farmers in a survey conducted by Roy Morgan last week.
In June, the bank secured top spot in customer satisfaction, with ratings of 91% in mid-2023 among more than 60,000 home loan customers, also according to a Roy Morgan survey.
