The tie-up delivers a four-week commercial course for brokers
La Trobe Financial, an Australian credit asset management firm, has announced its sponsorship of an AFG-led learning program.
AFG’s Mr Mentor Commercial learning program is a four-week course that provides brokers with the essential knowledge and skills to better navigate the dynamic landscape of commercial lending, covering all facets of commercial lending and SME support.
Daniel Coniglio (pictured above), national sales manager at La Trobe Financial, said the company is excited to be partnering with AFG and Mr Mentor in delivering the industry-leading commercial course.
“Congratulations to all the brokers in attendance for taking another step forward in your diversification journey,” Coniglio said. “We find that when our broker partners expand their knowledge of the wide range of products and policies in the market, some of which they may not have necessarily been aware of, they can very quickly diversify their clientele and in turn, grow their business.”
“AFG advocates for brokers upskilling to support the diverse and holistic needs of SME customers,” said Richele Janjatovic, AFG VIC commercial BDM. “The Mr Mentor program is designed to equip brokers with invaluable tools to support them on their commercial finance journey.”
In a statement, La Trobe Financial said the partnership between the aggregator group and the non-bank could not have been a better fit. La Trobe Financial is well regarded for their broad commercial range and “set and forget solutions”, offering loan sizes of up to $25 million per property and no clawbacks, annual reviews, or pre-sale requirements.
“La Trobe Financial understand the market, the needs of our borrowers and are happy to work through scenarios that some other lenders may not entertain,” Coniglio said. “We offer one application form and require no formal commercial accreditation. In fact, if you have written a residential loan with us before, the switch to commercial couldn’t be simpler.”
