Aggregator says the recognition highlights its commitment to fostering a cybersafe environment for brokers
Mortgage aggregator group LMG has announced that its chief information security officer (CISO), Luke Jarmaine (pictured above), has recently received the CISO of the Year award at the Australian Cyber Security Awards.
LMG said the award, open to CISOs across all industries in Australia, highlights its leadership in fostering a cybersafe environment for the broker community in Australia and New Zealand. It recently achieved ISO27001:2022 certification and was assessed up to the SOC2 Type 2 standard.
Jarmaine has directed LMG’s information security strategy with a focus on securing broker and client data through enhanced business processes and capabilities.
He also promoted a cyber and privacy-aware culture within LMG to increase resilience against cyber threats to small businesses, and built confidence among partners and customers in the security of LMG platforms by adhering to best practice industry certifications across residential, commercial, and asset finance operations.
“This recognition is a testament to LMG’s proactive approach to integrating advanced security measures and educational programs that safeguard our brokers and their clients,” Jarmaine said. “It’s been a collective effort aimed at innovation and excellence in cybersecurity.”
According to David McQueen, group executive of risk and strategic partnerships at LMG, the recognition is a powerful endorsement of the aggregator’s promise to keep brokers safe through robust cybersecurity measures.
“Keeping our brokers safe is a key promise that LMG works hard to deliver on,” McQueen said.
“We’re so proud of Luke and the team for their dedication to safeguarding brokers’ data and operations, ensuring they can focus on what matters most: helping their clients and growing their businesses with confidence.”
“The award recognises Luke’s expertise and commitment, and I congratulate him on this great achievement.”
