MFAA reveals 2025 State Excellence Awards finalists

The Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) has named the finalists for its 2025 State Excellence Awards, recognising high performers across the mortgage and finance broking sector.

The awards, which will be held in five regions — South Australia and the Northern Territory, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, Western Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, and Queensland — aim to spotlight individuals and businesses demonstrating professionalism, client focus, and strong business outcomes.

MFAA chief executive Anja Pannek (pictured above) said the awards reflect the ongoing dedication and high standards within the broking industry.

“These awards highlight the outstanding contributions of our members, who are committed to delivering exceptional service and financial outcomes for Australians,” Pannek said. “Our finalists represent the best in the industry, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and innovation.”

The complete list of the 2025 MFAA State Excellence Awards finalists can be found on the event’s dedicated website.

The MFAA awards cover both individual and business categories. Individuals have been recognised for achievements in residential and commercial broking, community service, leadership, and emerging talent. Business categories include brokerages, customer service roles, loan administration, and five lender segments.

Each submission was reviewed by an independent judging panel, with results audited by Hall Chadwick to ensure transparency. Finalists were selected based on their adherence to industry best practice, customer service delivery, and overall performance.

The South Australia and Northern Territory event will take place on May 29 at Adelaide Oval. The New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory event will follow on June 5 at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. Western Australia’s awards will be held on June 12 at Crown Perth, while Victoria and Tasmania’s ceremony is scheduled for June 19 at Grand Hyatt Melbourne. Queensland’s event will take place on June 26 at Sofitel Brisbane Central.

State winners will move forward to the MFAA National Excellence Awards, which will take place on July 23 at Crown Melbourne, following the MFAA National Conference. Finalists for the national event will be announced in May.
