MPA is a voice for the industry, and this issue encompassed every corner of it; leading aggregators; brokers on non-banks; non-banks themselves and leading broker Colin Lamb. It covers the most pertinent topics – negative gearing; technology; personal branding and the reverse mortgage market.
Here we’ve listed the best of 14.9. Some articles are available now on the website; some are available only in our e-mag. Either way, they represent best practice in the industry today.
Aggregators Roundtable
AFG; PLAN; FAST; Connective; Choice; Vow Financial and Outsource Financial; the heads of all were brought together to discuss the industry’s leading issues. These ranged from white-label products to consolidation and training, with some predictions which may well alarm brokers. You can watch clips from the roundtable on MPA TV, or read the full version in the e-mag.
Brokers on non-banks
MPA’s annual brokers on non-banks survey, sponsored by Advantedge, is a crucial test of the entire sector. We asked brokers to rate non-bank lenders in categories including turnaround speed, service, credit policy, product range, commission structure and many others. We also asked them for frank comments on their best and the worst experiences with non-banks. The survey is exclusive to the e-magazine, but you can read our interview with the winner online.
Head-to-head: Murray Cowan
In conjunction with our non-banks survey, we talked to Better Mortgage Management CEO Murray Cowan. BMM came top in both this year and last year’s surveys, and Murray attributes it to being proudly ‘old school’. But he also admits that BMM could offer brokers even more. Read the full interview now.
Colin Lamb
