This follows the lender's continued focus on aggregator alliances this year
Specialist Finance Group, one of Australia’s major aggregators, has expanded the service capabilities of its broker network with the addition of SME alternative non-bank lending specialist Oak Capital to its commercial lending panel.
Stephen Mitchell, Oak Capital CEO and founder, and Nick Green (pictured above left), head of distribution and partnerships, welcomed the new tie-up, which came off the back of the non-bank’s continued focus on aggregator alliances this year.
“Our newly formed partnership with SFG is an immense move for Oak Capital and further diversifies the short-term alternative funding options for their members and their SME customers,” Mitchell said. “This partnership reinforces that Oak Capital is leading the way in the short-term SME non-bank lender space and is the broker-preferred funder of choice in the alternative lending arena.”
He added that being able to work closely with a family-owned group that boasts more than 1,300 members nationally is a very exciting proposition – one that Oak Capital “cannot wait to bring to life.”
Green said the development is the consummation of substantial work carried out over several months by Oak Capital and SFG.
“We are thrilled about this amazing opportunity and cannot wait to get to work with one of the longest-serving aggregation groups in the country,” he said. “Partnering with SFG further extends Oak’s reach and supports our continued growth strategy in the third-party market in 2023.”
SFG is an Australian family-owned aggregator that has been operating for more than 30 years.
SFG assists its members with financial solutions for a wide range of purposes including home loans, investment loans, commercial finance, motor vehicle finance, and personal loans.
“We are very close to our members and their diversified needs to service their customers. Partnering with Oak Capital is yet another layer to the commercial offering for our members,” said Blake Buchanan (pictured above right), Specialist Finance Group general manager.
“SFG was thrilled to launch our partnership with Oak Capital as a principal partner at our recent and inaugural commercial convention held in Sydney. There has been immediate interest and take-up of Oak’s specialist products suite across our growing commercial brokerages.”
