This year's AMAs will include an extra line up that’s not be missed
The black-tie gala event of the year is back – only this time you just have to dress to impress from the waist up. This year the 19th Annual Australian Mortgage Awards will be held on the 16th of October from the comfort of your very own living room.
It has been one of those years – some would even say unprecedented – where members of the finance world have put their agility to the absolute test to go above and beyond for their customers. We think it’s time to celebrate the achievements of our outstanding finance brokers, BDMs, aggregators and lenders in helping the mortgage holders of Australia get through the pandemic as best they can.
The Australian Mortgage Awards continues to be a defining event within the finance world; bringing the industry together to recognise the best practice of its members while sharing plenty of laughs, fond memories and a whole lot of champagne.
While we are, unfortunately, running a BYO event this year, we think the evening will be just as enjoyable as ever.
Here’s why.
Before the winner announcements kick off at 5pm, we have a virtual conference planned that will include sponsor moderated panel discussions with some of the finalists.
And be sure not to miss the irreverent stylings of Lawrence “Moonman” Mooney as he takes to the stage at 1.45pm to kick off proceedings.
“2020 marks the 11th year of Westpac’s partnership with the Australian Mortgage Awards,” says Westpac head of mortgage broker distribution Warren Shaw.
“Although the year so far has witnessed extraordinary times, Australians have been through ups and downs before and will, like they always do, get through, together.”
“From catastrophic bushfires to a global pandemic that’s changing the way we live and work, the broker community has continued to demonstrate its ability to adapt to the changing operating environment and help customers with their homeownership needs.”
“Although this year we are unable to celebrate with you in person, your hard work and dedication to service sets an example that will ensure mortgage broking will continue to go from strength to strength.”
The 16th of October will be here before you know it, so register for free and stock up on your drink of choice while perusing some UberEATS options for the evening.
