Viking Aggregation boosts teams with new additions

Viking Aggregation is enhancing its sales and practice management teams in New South Wales and Queensland as it prepares to launch its residential and commercial aggregation services.

Pat Clarkson (pictured above left) has been appointed as regional manager for residential and commercial in NSW and the Australian Capital Territory, while Scott Unicomb (pictured above right) takes on the role of regional manager for residential in Queensland.

Clarkson and Unicomb join existing team members Terry Scott, regional manager for asset finance and commercial in QLD and the Northern Territory; Wade Collins, regional manager for asset finance in Victoria; Lisa Doolan, regional manager for asset finance in NSW/ACT; and Luke Osborne and Kylie Swaine, both business development managers for asset finance.

“We are assembling an exceptional team to support our brokers, and I’m thrilled to welcome Pat and Scott aboard as we gear up to launch our residential and commercial offerings,” said Rob Ryan, chief operating officer at Viking. “Their expertise will be instrumental in our success.”

With over 30 years of experience in lending, banking, mortgage management, and aggregation, Clarkson brings a deep understanding of the broker market. His previous role as partnership manager at LMG saw him support a portfolio of 100 businesses.

“Working in aggregation for me is more than a role, it’s my passion,” Clarkson said. “I leverage my knowledge, relationship skills and experience to add value to my brokers. I’ve joined Viking as I know they share my dedication to help brokers build their businesses.”

Unicomb, who has extensive sales and leadership experience, including roles at Macquarie Bank and Bluestone Home Loans, emphasised his client-first approach.

“I am excited about being able to coach brokers and assist them in obtaining their short and long-term business goals by driving sustainable and profitable growth,” he said.  “I’m joining Viking because I’m joining a great team. I’ve worked with several of them before, and it’s a team dedicated to service delivery and business growth for brokers.”

Cath Ryan, who was named general manager of Viking Commercial Aggregation earlier this year, highlighted the importance of the new appointments.

“Scott and Pat’s deep understanding of the financial services industry and their track record in delivering best in breed broker support will be invaluable in ensuring Viking Aggregation helps our brokers achieve and exceed their goals,” she said.

James Angus, general manager of Viking Residential Aggregation, also welcomed Clarkson and Unicomb.

“Scott, Pat and Terry are ideal leaders for our aggregation teams in NSW and QLD,” he said. “With their extensive experience in the broker industry and stellar reputations, they are well-equipped to help us achieve our growth goals. I am really looking excited to work alongside them.”
