PACE Premium will be launched on 20 February

The Commercial & Asset Finance Brokers Association (CAFBA) has announced the launch of new online education platform PACE Premium, which is designed to help brokers, lenders and aggregators to get a foothold in the commercial finance market.
PACE Premium will be officially launched on 20 February at the NSW Parliament House by former Labor leader Bill Shorten, who has recently taken up the role of Vice Chancellor of the University of Canberra.
PACE Premium “has been many years in the making and will benefit those looking for a career in commercial finance, looking to upskill or those seeking to transition from residential lending”, said CAFBA. Lenders, aggregators and brokers alike will benefit from a series of short courses with a heavy credit and product focus.
Diversification has emerged as a major trend in the third-party channel, with residential brokers increasingly turning to commercial finance to round out their offerings to clients.
While commercial finance literacy is improving, brokers are still susceptible to common pitfalls in the non-coded lending space, making programs like PACE Premium more important than ever.
CAFBA chief executive David Bushby (pictured) recently spoke of the importance of maintaining a strong reputation in the commercial finance space, highlighting the importance of quality broker education.
Speaking on Shorten’s support of the program, CAFBA stated: “Bill is particularly interested in ensuring those working in the financial services sector have the needed theoretical and practical knowledge to deliver the most professional services to their clients.”
