Senior experts to gather for major online roundtable

The Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) has promised to unveil “groundbreaking industry research” in its 2025 Value of Mortgage and Finance Broking Report at the upcoming Looking Ahead 2025 virtual event.
Scheduled for Tuesday, 11 February, Looking Ahead 2025 will bring together industry experts and senior political, regulatory and economic leaders to discuss the big issues facing mortgage and finance brokers.
Attendees will be among the first to get their hands on MFAA’s latest report, which was created in collaboration with Deloitte Access Economics. It will be the first such report to be published since 2018.
“The 2025 report contains comprehensive information on the role and value of mortgage and finance brokers, the growth of the industry and its significant contribution to the Australian economy, as well as major trends in the Australian mortgage market,” MFAA said in a statement.
MFAA chief executive Anja Pannek (pictured) is calling on all of the association’s members to register for the free virtual event.
She stated: “This is the perfect time of the year for all MFAA members to get across what 2025 has in store. Looking Ahead aims to deliver crucial information to energise our members and set them up for success and growth over the next 12 months.”
Journalist and TV presenter Hugh Riminton will host the event. Announced speakers include Minister for Housing and Homelessness Clare O’Neill and Luci Ellis, chief economist at Westpac Group.
Natalie Cameron, the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA)’ lead ombudsman for banking and finance, will also sit down with MFAA’s Naveen Ahluwalia for a conversation about complaint trends.
