Hali Strandlund is a founding director and senior vice president of Fisgard Asset Management, one of the largest private MICs in western Canada. Last year, Stradlund guided the two-decade-old firm’s expansion into Ontario, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Stradlund is also a past chair of Mortgage Professionals Canada and served two consecutive terms as the president of the Mortgage Brokers Association of British Columbia. She’s also served as a director of the Mortgage Investment Association of BC and the BC MIC Association. Strandlund has been recognized as one of Canada’s top 100 most powerful women, and in 2010 she became the youngest woman to win the MBABC Pioneer Award for lifetime achievement. She’s also the youngest female to be inducted into the Canadian Mortgage Hall of Fame.
