In 2014, Kurt’s team funded $50 million in total volume, funding over 200 mortgages that year.  A common question when numbers like this are brought up, is how many are on the team?  Kurt's immediate team consists of an internal underwriter, a meeting specialist and a receptionist.  Kurt swears up and down that his team is the best in the industry.  Kurt is also active in his community, supporting local charities such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Hearth Place, a support centre for cancer patients and their families.  In 2014 Kurt and his team gave cheques totalling $7000 to those organizations and is on track to give $8000 for 2015.  Kurt is very aware that the success of his team is because of their many realtor partners, as well as loyal clients that continue to come back for ongoing mortgage advice and continue to refer their friends and family.  The numbers speak for themselves... 45%  of their business in 2014 was from repeat clients and client referrals, while 48% was referred by Realtors, while the remainder came from business partners, financial planners, builders, etc.
