Industry veteran to lead real estate association in advancing property management standards

Avison Young's Lacheur takes helm as BOMA Canada chair

Neil Lacheur (pictured), a seasoned real estate executive with Avison Young, has been appointed as the new chair of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Canada.

With over 20 years in the real estate management industry, Lacheur now steps into a key role for one of Canada’s largest commercial real estate associations, representing over 3,100 members and more than 2.1 billion square feet of office space across the country.

In his role as executive vice president of real estate management services at Avison Young, Lacheur leads a team managing a portfolio of retail and industrial properties nationwide.

Lacheur’s career has spanned several high-level roles in the property management sector, including senior vice president of customer experience at QuadReal Property Group and vice president of property management at Bentall Kennedy.

“Neil’s extensive experience and expertise makes him a major asset to BOMA’s board,” said Mark Fieder, president of Avison Young, Canada. “BOMA is a strong advocate for our industry and an important partner; I am thrilled for Neil to be stepping into the role of chair.”
