CENTUM unveils new leadership team

Mortgage broker network CENTUM Financial Group Inc. (CENTUM) has named its new leadership team, with Adrian Schulz stepping into the mantle of president after the departure of Chris Turcotte.

Schulz, who joined the organization in 2021 and previously served as executive vice president, brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate, financial services, and technology. According to a media release, Schulz’s leadership has played a central role in the company’s recent technological advancements, contributing to CENTUM being named the 2024 Broker Network of the Year at the Canadian Mortgage Awards.

“It’s an honour to lead CENTUM into its next chapter,” Schulz said in a statement. “We are committed to empowering our agents and broker partners with the tools, technology, and support they need to excel in today’s dynamic market.”

Schulz also serves as president of his family’s real estate firm, is a director with MREA Services, and is affiliated with FIABCI and the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Joining Schulz in the leadership team is Caroline Rapson, who has been promoted to vice-president of operations. Rapson, a foundational member of CENTUM since its establishment in 2002, previously held the position of director of membership. In her expanded role, she will manage daily operations, member engagement, events, and strategic partnerships.

Founded in 2002, CENTUM operates nearly 200 offices and supports over 2,100 mortgage professionals across the country. The appointments come as CENTUM focuses on innovation, the news release noted. Recent developments include the Piper Portal, a platform aimed at improving agent and office experiences, and the introduction of new tools such as the FINTRAC suite. The firm is also preparing to launch Mortgage Monitor 3.0, a digital tool designed to support homeowner empowerment, and expand DirectPay, a compliance and compensation service for agents.

CENTUM is also enhancing integration with its sister brand, Century 21 Canada, under the Charlwood Pacific Group umbrella, to deliver broader support and drive synergy across its business network.

The company also confirmed the resignation of former president Turcotte and expressed its appreciation for his service.

CENTUM is part of the Charlwood Pacific Group, which includes Century 21 Canada and UNIGLOBE Travel International.
