Company taps exec to help drive expansion of its mortgage software products
Axiom Innovations has announced the addition of industry veteran Gord Dahlen as its new strategic advisor, a move aimed at bolstering the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its offerings.
Dahlen, who brings more than 35 years of experience in the mortgage and financial sectors, will provide key insights to drive the company's growth.
The well-known industry professional currently runs his own mortgage brokerage, DLC BlueTree Mortgages WEST, in British Columbia. Over the years, he has held prominent roles in several major financial firms, including vice president of sales and strategic relationships at Lendesk, along with executive positions at Finmo, Canadian First Financial, Dominion Lending Centres, Invis, and MCAP.
Axiom’s CEO, Dong Lee, nearing his first anniversary at the helm, expressed optimism about Dahlen’s role in guiding the company's strategy.
“As I approach my first year as CEO of Axiom Innovations, I recognize the critical importance of strategic leadership in guiding our companyʼs next phase of growth,” Lee said. “I am thrilled to welcome Gord to the team, as his proven track record and wealth of experience will provide invaluable guidance and thought leadership. His expertise will be instrumental as we continue to accelerate the growth of the Scarlett Network.”
Speaking about his new role, Dahlen said, “I am excited to work alongside Joe [Fakhri], Dong, and the talented team at Scarlett Network. They’ve developed remarkable technology, and I look forward to contributing my experience and strategic insights to drive further growth.”

This addition to the leadership team comes as Axiom sharpens its focus on expanding two core products: Scarlett Mortgage and Scarlett Pay. Scarlett Mortgage, a point-of-sale software solution, is widely used by brokerages across Canada, while Scarlett Pay manages commission processing for many of the country’s largest mortgage brokerages. The platform also extends into sectors beyond mortgages, including insurance and lending.
Dong Lee has spent much of his first year as CEO learning the intricacies of Axiom’s operations. In an earlier interview with CMP, he discussed his strategy for guiding Axiom forward.
“I think every organization has its secret sauce. The job I have is to come in and make those pivots and steer the company in the right direction,” Lee said. He noted that Axiom is already on solid footing and doesn't need drastic changes, but rather careful leadership to push growth further.
