CMP announces list of top-performing brokers for 2024
One of the most prestigious lists recognizing the leading mortgage brokers in Canada is back. Here at Canadian Mortgage Professional, we’re delighted to reveal our Top 75 Brokers for 2024 – featuring the best-performing brokers of the past year.
It’s been another significant year for mortgage brokers across the country, with high interest rates and economic turbulence contributing to an uncertain mortgage and housing market outlook – but Canada’s top brokers found ways to constantly eke out new business and keep originations high amidst those challenges.
CMP invited brokers to submit nominations for the list based on volume, with nominees required to have been licensed and employed as brokers in 2023 and all mortgage deals and volumes having to be personally initiated and only including residential-based mortgage deal.
Overall funded volumes for 2023 that were verified by aggregators, franchisors, or lenders then formed the basis for our Top 75 selection.
As our report shows, top brokers employed a variety of strategies to accelerate their business growth over the past 12 months including client engagement and relationship-building, marketing, advertising, and event participation, strategic partnerships and networking, streamlining operations, and many more.
Taking the place among those named on the esteemed list were well-known brokers including Anthony Zhang (DLC Clear Trust Mortgages), Charles-Antoine Boudreau (Planiprêt), Mandeep Khaneka (Dominion Lending Centres), Michael Jacyk (Ratehub), Ryan La Haye (Planiprêt), Shabnam Gill (Dove Mortgages), and Taz Zaide (6ix Mortgage Group).
