Mortgage Alliance isn't the only brokerage to land a huge catch from the big bank pond, with Mortgage Architects now reporting its own coup from RBC.
“I interviewed with a number of firms and after meeting several Mortgage Architects brokers felt this would be a great place to work,” Carolyn Macdonald -- the latest banking expat to join the broker channel -- said. “It is clear that Mortgage Architects is keenly interested in the quality of the individual as they continue to grow the company and I am very proud to join a group of professional, experienced colleagues.”
The news comes on the heels of a number of blockbuster acquisitions by another broker channel player, who this year alone have enticed a slew of top bank performers to switch sides.
Macdonald, who is no slouch herself, brings over 40 years of financial services industry expertise to her new role with Mortgage Architects.
“Coming from the banking world, this is a huge step for me and I am excited about the move,” Macdonald said.
The acquisition has been met with excitement by the Mortgage Architect brass.
“Carolyn brings vast knowledge, highly-developed customer service skills and professionalism to her new role, thus positioning her for continued success,” Meini Ickert, vice president, Western Canada for Mortgage Architects said. “Carolyn most recently held the position of Mortgage Specialist at Royal Bank of Canada (and) we are honoured and delighted to welcome Carolyn to our Mortgage Architects Professional Broker Network.”
