Investment bank Canaccord Genuity has expanded its capability in real estate investment trusts by hiring a specialist team from MLV & Co. The firm is diversifying its business and wants to grow the 7 per cent of its global income that was derived from the real estate sector from 2011 to 2014. The hire of a team of five will give Canaccord a presence in the US REIT market.
