Past honourees share how much winning has meant to their business. Don’t miss your chance to be nominated for this year’s event.
This year’s Canadian Mortgage Awards are quickly approaching and it’s obvious industry players are getting excited.
That includes past winners.
“I am absolutely honoured and humbled to have won the award for Mortgage Broker and Mortgage brokerage of the year in 2015 and Mortgage Broker of the year in 2016,” Collin Bruce, broker/owner of Dominion Lending Centres Mortgage Mentors, told MortgageBrokerNews.ca. “Winning the awards is by far the biggest achievement and highlight of my mortgage brokering career."
As always, the categories cover a wide range and offer an opportunity for mortgage professional to be recognized.
And winning a CMA is not only something to be proud of – they help drive business opportunities, according to one past winner.
“Awards are great for company and industry morale, but as third party validations, they also confer increased brand awareness, trust and confidence on a business,” Shane Bruce, a broker with VERICO ACME Mortgage Professionals, said “All in all, these awards are simply great and I’m happy to see they’re continuing this year!”
Shane Bruce took home the Award for Best Marketing Effort of the Year in 2016.
“One of my favorite quotes is, ‘Early to bed, early to rise, work like hell and advertise.’ I’m not always so great at the first two, but the latter are my motto. I really believe you must market yourself with the same amount of passion and vigor as you put into doing the work – if you want to succeed, anyway,” Bruce said.
“That’s why winning this award was so gratifying for me,” he continued. “It was recognition not only of the excellent work my company does, but confirmation that the budget and effort we pour into marketing is also paying dividends.”
And now it’s time to nominate someone you’d like to see recognized for their outstanding efforts in the mortgage industry for this year’s awards.
The awards will take place on May 12, 2017 at the Liberty Grand in Toronto. Click here to make your nominations. Act fast – the deadline to nominate is February 24.
Make sure to book your table as well.
This year’s title sponsor is the Canadian Mortgage Brokers Association.
