And the winner of a new iPad from CMP’s annual Broker Sentiment Poll contest is….
Sherry Speakman, a very happy mortgage agent with Inspired Mortgage Management Solutions in Burlington, Ontario.
“I’ve never won anything before!” said a jubilant Speakman. “That’s awesome!”
Her name was selected by random draw, and just as brokers begin to pore over the results of the annual survey in the latest issue of the magazine. The poll was sponsored by The Mortgage Centre.
“The poll is an excellent barometer of broker sentiment within the channel,” says CMP Editor Vernon Jones, “and the size of the response speaks to just how much brokers rely on this online research as a way of gauging how well the industry is doing and the challenges ahead.”
The results from this year’s Broker Sentiment Poll are highlighted in the March issue of CMP. Brokers weighed in on such questions as: “What are your biggest concerns over the next 12 months?” and “What do you think will be the biggest changes in the industry over the next 12 months?”
Of particular interest are the biggest concerns brokers have in the industry.
“There were questions that pushed my buttons – basically what the banks are doing, and how it affects brokers,” says Speakman. “Our entire office came from the ‘Bank World,’ and now we live in ‘Broker World.’ It is very, very different, and, as brokers, we ask ourselves, ‘What is best for the client?’”
The iPad prize will allow Speakman to join hundreds of brokers now viewing CMP magazine via a new app. Earlier this year, CMP launched the iPad version of the magazine, now available for download at MortgageBrokerNews.ca or the iTunes store.
