Dominion Lending Centres’ annual National Sales Conference in New Orleans had brokers buzzing following a fun-filled three-day event capping off September.
“The 2013 DLC National Sale Conference in New Orleans was an amazing experience and a top-notch run event for which the organizers should be extremely proud; the venue was a perfect marriage and reflection of the energy and enthusiasm that is DLC and the management team,” said Tracey Latimer, with DLC The Mortgage Source. “Every aspect of the planned events – gospel singers, Mardi Gras, the welcome party – reflected the energy. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate our business and this company.”
With more than 350 DLC attendees – and over 400 who attended the evening events – the conference provided ample opportunity for brokers to engage professional development learning while having a great time on Bourbon Street and beyond.
“The days were jam-packed with education, including a Trade Fair featuring 40+ exhibitors and 17 incredibly well-attended Learning Centre sessions – covering a variety of topics ranging from internal DLC business building and client management tool training to private lending, insurer offerings and beyond,” Cindy Freiman, director of public relations and communications, told MortgageBrokerNews.ca. “Thanks to the wide range of educational sessions, DLC agents earned seven CAAMP CE credits, while owners and managers also attending the leadership meeting earned eight.”
And it’s clear DLC has found the right formula to ensure brokers attend year after year.
“As a new franchise partner with Dominion Lending – after 17 years plus in the brokerage industry – DLC never fails to amaze,” Angela Coyne of DLC Family Mortgage Group said. “First-class execution by all the head office team... DLC has raised the bar (and I’m) so happy to be here.”
Perhaps a bid to spread the love around, DLC has planned next year’s event to take place in Canada.
“At the closing ceremony … we announced we’re bringing the next conference home to Canada in beautiful Whistler, B.C. – September 16-20, 2015,” Freiman said. “Check www.dominionlendingevents.ca for the launch of this conference in the months to come.”
