One industry player has organized an event to help inspire and motivate tomorrow’s female leaders with her second BC Women in Mortgages Leadership Event, set to take place on February 3.
“The goal is to create events for women only, a forum for leadership networking, camaraderie building and a way to give back to other women across Canada,” Mary-Clare Stella of Paradigm Quest told MortgageBrokerNews.ca. “Thus, to support an important collective charity endeavor she sought out the Canadian Women’s Foundation and the CWF became the charity of choice for the events.”
Paradigm and, specifically, its CEO, Kathy Gregory have taken a special interest in helping bolster the careers of female Mortgage Brokers while also raising money for female-specific charities through an annual golf tournament as well.
“The BC Women in Mortgages Leadership event was launched by its founding Chair, Kathy Gregory, president and CEO of Paradigm in 2011,” Stella said. “The Ontario Women’s Mortgage Industry golf tournament has been such a success over the last six years thus prompting Kathy to take her vision across the country. The first BC event was 100 per cent sold out and raised more than $5000 for the Canadian Women’s Foundation (CWF).
“The CWF supports bringing women and children out of poverty across the country through housing, training and positive mentorship.”
