When Marlborough Stirling went looking to improve its broker sales platform, MorWEB, the answer was written in the stars – or rather the cloud.
“Our focus when we partnered with (cloud computing provider) OTTO was simply to make brokers’ lives even easier,” says Marlborough Stirling President Tim Brown. “We know they spend a lot of time out of the office and not necessarily connected to their office IT, so the added benefits of integrating with the brokers’ go-to operating system will be a breakthrough in terms of how quickly and easily they can do their jobs.”
Mortgage technology provider Marlborough Stirling Canada recently enhanced its broker sales platform MorWEB by partnering with cloud computing system OTTO.
“It was also important for us to give brokers flexibility with the option to use whichever tools they need to fit their own business models,” Brown told MortgageBrokerNews.ca. “We wanted to provide brokers with a choice that was simple and reliable.”
MorWEB, the sales platform that is being adopted by a growing number of mortgage brokers across Canada, is already popular because of its usability and reliability, says Brown, and the partnership with OTTO provides mortgage brokers with the easiest way to manage the entire business process in one system without the need for hard connection to IT infrastructure - and it is gaining traction among brokers.
“There are over 500 users (broker) who are on OTTO, and we have already had nine inquiries since we issued the press release,” says Geoff Willis, chief enthusiasm officer of OTTO Mortgage Systems and a broker with Origin Home Financial. “It can be integrated regardless of what network you have, and you can own your own data.”
The ability to easily stream data for clients, optimized by lender and personal preference, made allowed MorWEB to incorporate OTTO without disrupting the smooth flow of data for brokers.
“OTTO users can now enjoy the benefits of MorWEB without having to amend how they capture and share client application data,” says Kevin Dear, managing partner at OTTO. “A broker captures all of the client application content into their own database and can select which provider to map their application to, based on lender selection or personal preference without having to re-enter that data into a separate system.”
