Exponential year-over-year volume growth has prompted one national broker network to add a new president to its team.
RMAI announced the appointment of David Yuzpe as president Monday, the addition driven by impressive company performance.
“We are on a huge growth curve and I needed a quality general by my side,” Ron De Silva, CEO of RMAI Financial Group, told MortgageBrokerNews.ca. “(We have grown) 34.2 per cent year-over-year (by volume).”
Yuzpe has worked in the mortgage industry since 1995, when he kicked started his career as a mortgage specialist with CIBC.
In 2008, Yuzpe made the move to the broker side, joining Invis Financial Group in the network’s early days.
“It is with tremendous pleasure that I announce to you that David Yuzpe will be the president of Real Mortgage Associates Inc. and the RMAI Financial Group, effective immediately,” De Silva said in a release to RMA brokers and lending partners.
In addition to his experience on the business side, Yuzpe has also taught the mortgage agents course at Fanshawe College in London, Ont.
“His leadership and influence and has helped RMA achieve the dominant position in mortgage broker originations in Ontario South West,” De Silva said.
