Revealed: the mortgage industry’s Rising Stars of 2024

There’s no shortage of up-and-coming talent making the breakthrough across Canada’s mortgage industry – and Canadian Mortgage Professional is proud to announce our list of Rising Stars for 2024.

Now in its sixth year, the report showcases the best and brightest young talent making waves in Canada’s mortgage space, putting the industry in good hands as it looks to the future.

In February, we asked the mortgage community to submit its nominations for our list, putting the spotlight on young high-flyers in the industry. Entrants were required to be aged 35 or under as of June 30, 2024, have demonstrated a record of achievement in the mortgage industry, and never have been recognized in our Rising Stars (previously Young Guns) awards.

Nominees were asked about their current roles and responsibilities, as well as their key achievements during the previous 12 months. Recommendations from managers and senior industry professionals were also considered.

After reviewing all nominations, we whittled the list down to 40 names – with this year’s selections a testament to the integrity, relationship-building ability, innovative approaches, and exceptional customer and client service of the industry’s young talent.

Taking their place on this year’s prestigious list were industry up-and-comers Tom Hall (BluMortgage), Shawn-Marc Melo (Lendwire Inc.), and Hannah Martens (Mortgage Alliance).
