Consumers continue to lean upon what is widely seen as a top-grade app
TD Bank’s mobile app for Canadian users has been a consistent top ranker among the country’s retail banking apps, according to a study by Silicon Valley-based market data firm App Annie.
The analysis found that the bank’s app has been a #1 performer in terms of monthly active users, number of downloads, average number of sessions per user, and review scores for 12 straight months, which App Annie deemed a record-breaking duration.
In addition, the app has also consistently held the top rank in the finance category on the Canadian Google and Apple App stores.
A separate analysis by comScore supported these findings, noting that the average number of unique visitors (on a monthly basis) to TD’s mobile portal increased by 70% from Q3 2017 to Q3 2018.

Earlier this year, TD Bank launched its mortgage concierge service that quickly matches would-be buyers with mortgage advisors.
“Using geolocation technology, the new service connects customers with mobile mortgage specialists who are nearby and available, offering seamless access to mortgage advice for TD mobile customers,” the bank said.
Users have easy access to the specialists’ locations and contact details via the app.
“Our mortgage concierge service is a great example of how we are focused on developing connected and personalized experiences for our customers that add value and help them achieve their personal financial goals,” TD Bank EVP and chief digital and payments officer Rizwan Khalfan said. “This latest enhancement to our app helps us ensure we're offering relevant, meaningful experiences for our customers and is a great first step towards transforming how we meet their needs in the future.”
