Rental buildings to consist of apartments in various sizes, starting at $847 per month
A new residential rental project in a 65,000-square-foot parcel is set to be constructed in Quebec’s Saint-Nicolas neighbourhood.
L’Aura Saint-Nicolas in Lévis’ Roc Pointe—a collaboration between the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and Maisons Laprise—is designed to be the latest in Domaine de Villieu, a series of single-family, row, rental, and condominium developments by Maisons Laprise.
Slated to consist of six 9-unit rental buildings, the project will host various apartments starting at $847 a month.
“The 54 units are being built in two phases: the first, consisting of 18 units, has been completed, and phase 2 will be delivered next 15 of April,” the collaboration announced. “The high-quality prefabricated apartments, provided by LAPRISE, deliver energy efficiency, better ambient air quality and superior insulation thanks to an independent double ceiling-floor system.”
“This partnership with Maisons Laprise allows the Fonds immobilier to develop a business relationship with a key player in Québec's residential construction industry,” the Fonds immobilier president and CEO Normand Bélanger noted.
“We will capitalize on this major partner’s experience and large-scale, affordable production. L’Aura Saint-Nicolas is an attractive rental project in a real estate development that’s in demand in a growing neighbourhood. By the time it’s completed, our investment will have created roughly 75 jobs that will benefit the local economy.”
