Dashboard gives homeowners detailed insights and comparisons
The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) has introduced the Property Pulse Dashboard, a new tool that provides users with up-to-date residential sales data and market insights.
Accessible through MPAC's free AboutMyProperty platform, the dashboard allows property owners to explore residential sales data by municipality and property type, including single-detached, semi-detached, townhouse, condominium, and waterfront properties.
"We are enhancing the information we provide property owners, allowing them to gain a better understanding of the residential market," Greg Martino, vice president and chief valuation and standards officer of MPAC, said in a media release. "This new tool, along with our recent release of housing inventory data, has been designed with property owners in mind so they can learn more about the changes to the residential property market in communities across Ontario and therefore facilitate more informed decision-making."
The dashboard features a comparison tool that enables users to analyze sales information across up to five municipalities simultaneously. Users can customize their search based on sales year/month, the year the property was built, and its square footage.
Drawing from MPAC's extensive inventory and Teranet Inc.'s sales data, the Property Pulse Dashboard is updated monthly, allowing users to track evolving trends in the housing market over time.
