First Mortgage Trust welcomes new manager

First Mortgage Trust (FMT) has announced the appointment of Charlie Oscroft (pictured above) as the new investment relationship manager.

Oscroft, a well-known figure in New Zealand’s investment industry, brings a wealth of expertise to the expanding FMT team.

Strategic growth and new roles

“It’s great to welcome someone of Charlie’s calibre to the team,” said Paul Bendall, CEO of FMT. “This is another new role we have recently created, demonstrating our growth and strategic vision to take FMT to the next level.”

First Mortgage Trust’s financial milestones

Despite a challenging economic environment, FMT continues to thrive, Bendall said.

“We’ve just hit $1.7 billion in funds under management and we’re launching our new wholesale fund,” he said. “Charlie’s arrival will be instrumental in growing the new wholesale fund.”

Expanding expertise

With experience in investment management and capital raising across real estate markets both locally and internationally, Bendall said Oscroft is set to make a significant impact.

“The addition of Charlie as investor relationship manager underscores our commitment to continue to provide excellent service to our investors and execute our strategic plans,” Bendall said.

Exciting future ahead

“I am thrilled to join the First Mortgage Trust team,” Oscroft said. “I look forward to contributing to the company’s growth, working closely with the FMT team, getting to know our investors, and helping them achieve their goals.”

Prior to FMT, Oscroft worked as investment advisor at Mackersy Property. He also spent 24 years in Colliers International in various leadership roles.

FMT also recently announced the appointment of Sue Griffiths as lending operations manager and George Wheelans as business development officer in the Christchurch office.
