A Kiwibank spokeswoman said: “the issue is now resolved for the majority of impacted customers” and that the bank is now “working to process all remaining payments.” She also apologised to customers “for any inconvenience experienced.”
Kiwibank emphasised the issue didn’t affect outgoing payments, NZ Herald reported.

“We’re working through a delay impacting incoming payments to Kiwibank accounts today [June 7],” the spokeswoman said. “Outgoing payments are unaffected and can still be made. We’re working to fix this as a priority and we’ll provide an update when resolved. Thanks for your patience and understanding.”
Last September, technology outages at Kiwibank caused frustration among customers trying to access online banking and its app. The spokesperson said the latest issues experienced on June 07 were unrelated, NZ Herald reported.
