Owen joined ANZ in 2002 and since then has held a number of roles, including head of finance business partnering and divisional financial controller. She began her career at KPMG in Wellington and London.
Antonia Watson, ANZ New Zealand chief executive, said Owen brings a wealth of hands-on experience to the role.
Owen “has demonstrated her strong skill set and leadership abilities as acting CFO,” Watson said. “We’re delighted to have someone of her calibre in this key role. The New Zealand economy has proved more resilient than expected but we’ve seen a noticeable change in consumer sentiment. We continue to watch the situation carefully, and as CFO Amanda will be integral to the strategy and direction of our business and how we support our customers.”
