BNZ, ASB and Westpac offering 4.39% p.a. fixed for 1 year
ASB is offering the lowest fixed rate interest rates on 18 months and three year home loans.
BNZ, Westpac and ASB are all offering 4.39% fixed rates, but ASB is offering that rate for a fixed term of 18 months, whereas BNZ and Westpac are offering it for a fixed year of one year.
The Big Four and Kiwibank are all offering 4.65% fixed for two years.
ASB is offering 0.01% less than the rest on their three year fixed term rate.
Last week, the Reserve Bank as forecast announced it would keep the Official Cash Rate (OCR) at 1.75%.
Despite the average house in New Zealand being valued above $600,000 and house price expected to increase over the next 12 months, interest are expected to remain at record lows.
