Some customers' payment credit and debit cards did not work
ASB’s card payments systems have suffered an outage on Friday – a problem the CBA-owned bank said has already been fixed.

According to the Downdetector website, which tracks tech outages at major companies, there had been user reports indicating problems at ASB, from 5pm on Friday.
ASB issued a statement on their Facebook page apologising to customers who were experiencing an issue with some of their debit and credit cards, and assured them that their tech team was working urgently on the issue, Stuff reported.

By 7:30pm on the same day, ASB’s Facebook message said the majority of the cards were already working, and at 8.15pm, a spokeswoman from the bank said ASB’s payment systems were fully restored.
ASB said it would update its Facebook page when it had completely fixed the problem, Stuff reported.
