Camilla Tumai injects fresh enthusiasm into the role of empowering SMEs
SME lender Bizcap has appointed Camilla Tumai (pictured above left) as its new general manager, Tumai brings to the SME lender extensive finance experience, including roles as an adviser, business owner, and industry leader.
Tumai’s career and recognition
Tumai’s journey in the finance sector is marked by significant achievements, including leadership positions at AdviceFirst’s retail and group insurance channels, and her role in founding IKONIK, a specialist in KiwiSaver and insurance. She currently holds a position as a board member at Quality Product Research (Quotemonster).
Her contributions to the finance community have earned her the Financial Advice New Zealand Excellence in Advice award for her “thought leadership, service excellence, innovation and services to the advice profession.”

With a deep understanding of the advisory landscape and a proven track record of fostering industry connections, Tumai is poised to expand Bizcap’s reach in New Zealand. She is passionate about addressing the challenges local SMEs face, offering tailored lending solutions to help them thrive.
“Bizcap has a remarkable process of assessing SMEs both qualitatively and quantitatively, gaining a holistic understanding of their financial position and business potential, before tailoring lending solutions to their goals and repayment capabilities,” Tumai said.

Tumai also aims to strengthen Bizcap’s partnerships with advisers, leveraging her own experience to enhance service delivery and financial solutions for clients.
