The new appointee boasts years of banking leadership in South East Asia and Australia
BNZ has announced the hire of Mandy Rutherford as its chief financial officer. Rutherford is the former chief financial officer from one of Malaysia’s largest bank.
BNZ chief executive officer Anthony Healy said Rutherford comes with a strong background in banking, having held positions including CFO with AmBank in Kuala Lumpur and other several senior roles with ANZ in Australia.
Rutherford is currently a general manager of wealth transition and separation at ANZ in Melbourne.
She graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Commerce, in accountancy and business administration and is a chartered accountant.
Healy said BNZ’s acting CFO, Peter MacGillivray, will stay in the acting role until Rutherford’s appointment becomes effective in March, which is subject to Reserve Bank of New Zealand non-objection.
