New Zealand's top mortgage professionals have just 37 sleeps until they gather for the highly anticipated 2024 NZ Mortgage Awards, taking place at the prestigious Auckland War Memorial Museum on April 11.
This annual event celebrates excellence and achievement within the industry, recognising the individuals and organisations leading the way in mortgage lending.

This is a night for mortgage advisers, lenders, aggregators, and other industry professionals to come together, celebrate their successes, and network with their peers.
Hosted by award-winning journalist Wilhelmina Shrimpton and featuring a special Māori welcome by Haka the Legend, the awards ceremony is a fantastic way to witness the best of the best in the New Zealand mortgage industry.
Organised by Key Media, the awards ceremony features 87 excellence awardees nominated across 16 diverse categories.
There will also be a national award celebrating the Liberty Adviser of the Year, which was not open for nominations.
This award recognises the most outstanding adviser in New Zealand. The excellence awardees in this category will comprise the winners of the below individual adviser categories which will be announced on the awards night:
- Commercial Mortgage Adviser
- Adviser of the Year – Residential
- Adviser of the Year – Specialist Lending
- Adviser of the Year – Regional
One ticket entitles guests to attend the New Zealand Mortgage Awards Cocktail Party, where the winners will be announced.
Who’s coming to the NZ Mortgage Awards?
While the NZ Mortgage Awards is a chance for the industry to come together and celebrate, it’s a nervous wait for the excellence awardees (finalists).
Sarah Hood (pictured above left) said after the hard work she’s put in over the past 18 months, she is incredibly proud to be recognised.
“Starting out as a mortgage adviser has had a set of challenges, but I have enjoyed the learning process and am excited for my future in the industry,” said Hood, who is up for the First Mortgage Trust New Broker of the Year.
“I’ve already got my ticket and I can’t wait to celebrate with other NZ advisers.”
Furthermore, this event acts as a national hub, drawing brokers from all corners of New Zealand to connect, share experiences, and foster collaboration.
Mandy Jordan (pictured above right), an adviser from Mortgage Supply, which operates on the quiet southern corner of the South Island, was excited to be nominated for NZFSG Adviser of the Year – Regional award.
Jordan said her nomination proved that with passion, great systems, amazing people, and solid goals that anything is possible.
“We're based in Invercargill and continuously taking on the big metro numbers by having the above,” she said.
From one corner of the country to the other – all of 1,637 kilometres – Jordan has an excuse to not be present at the awards ceremony.
Yet when questioned whether she would make the trek up to Auckland for the night, Jordan replied, “Heck yes, I am! It's a great excuse to be around like-minded people and able to celebrate what we do and how we do it. I can't wait.”
