Mike Pero Group appoints new franchise head

The Mike Pero Group has named Lenska Papich as the new head of its franchise operations, placing her at the helm of a business that has been operating in New Zealand for more than three decades. 

Papich, who has worked with the group in a consulting capacity over several years, will formally assume leadership of the Mike Pero business this week. Her appointment brings a change in operational direction, focusing on sales and marketing strategy across the network. 

Papich said she has long had an interest in franchise-based organisations, particularly within financial services. In her statement, she said that the role of individual franchise operators in maintaining day-to-day client engagement and delivering consistent service. 

The Mike Pero business, known for its activity in mortgage and insurance services, operates under a franchise model across the country. Papich’s appointment comes as the company seeks to align operational leadership with targeted outcomes for franchisees and their clients. 

“Franchise owners have my utmost respect. They are the ones who work with our clients every day to support and advise in key life moments. They are the true heart of any franchise and the key to great customer outcomes and improved performance. I’m excited to apply this lens to officially joining the Mike Pero team,” she said. 

Chief executive officer Aaron Skilton said Papich’s previous involvement with the company gives her a working knowledge of its operations and potential. According to Skilton, the group’s franchise structure and brand recognition stand to benefit from her experience and practical focus. 

“We have a strong, iconic brand and network of businesses who will benefit from Lenska’s franchise background and determined focus on sales, marketing and delivering value for advisers,” he said. 

The group did not disclose additional changes to its organisational structure or timelines for operational initiatives under Papich’s leadership.
