Nominations now open for industry's prestigious event
Mortgage advisers, lenders, aggregators and service providers help Kiwis achieve their dreams of homeownership and when it comes to acknowledging the vital role they play – the New Zealand Mortgage Awards is the only event in the industry to honour their efforts.
Nominations are now open for the New Zealand Mortgage Awards 2025, a cocktail-style event which will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
The premier night on the New Zealand mortgage industry calendar, the NZMAs are an opportunity for the industry’s top performers to come together for a night of celebration and networking.
The awards, now in their fifth year, continue to grow in popularity with strong support from the industry.
Awards organiser Key Media and key supporter NZ Adviser are thrilled to announce that non-bank lender Liberty, event partner in 2024, will again be event partner for the 2025 NZMAs.
Also providing their support are award sponsors, Avanti Finance, Basecorp Finance, Finsure New Zealand, First Mortgage Trust, Kiwi Adviser Network, Link Financial Group, NZFSG, Pepper Money, and Prospa.
The 2025 awards have expanded to 18 categories, two more than in 2024, with the BDM of the Year now split into separate categories – Link Financial Group Best Bank BDM, NZFSG Best Non-Bank BDM, and Best Aggregator BDM.
The adviser section includes Pepper Money Adviser of the Year – Residential, Adviser of the Year – Regional, Avanti Finance Adviser of the Year – Specialist Lending, First Mortgage Trust New Adviser of the Year, and Commercial Mortgage Adviser.
Brokerages will be vying for the Regional Brokerage of the Year, Kiwi Adviser Network Brokerage of the Year – 1 to 5 staff, Prospa Brokerage of the Year – 6+ staff, and Finsure New Zealand New Brokerage of the Year.
Lender awards include Lender of the Year (Major/Non-Major Bank) and Non-Bank Lender of the year. The top aggregator will be honoured with the Aggregator of the Year.
The NZMAs will also feature Innovator of the Year, Loan Administrator of the Year, and the Basecorp Finance Best Customer Service of an Individual Office.
The most prestigious award of the night will be the national award, Liberty Adviser of the Year. This award will be selected from the winners of four adviser categories on the night – commercial, residential, specialist lending and regional.
In 2024, the Liberty Adviser of the Year was won by Laura Te Kaat of The Mortgage Girls, who was presented the award by Liberty NZ general manager Igor Stychinsky (pictured above).
Now’s the opportunity for mortgage industry professionals to nominate their peers who have shown excellence over the past year. Self nominations are also accepted.
