Changes bring renewed focus and enhanced support for advisers
In a move to reinforce their commitment to providing support for its network of over 1,100 mortgage and insurance advisers, NZ Financial Service Group (NZFSG) has introduced several changes within their distribution team, including the appointment of new Auckland based Regional Manager Zane Low (pictured centre).
Baden Martin, who stepped into the role of CEO earlier this year, emphasised that his primary objective has been to refine the business strategy to amplify the value offered to advisers.
“As the home of New Zealand’s largest adviser community, we recognise the importance of delivering tailored support for different advice streams,” said Martin, who was appointed to his position in January.
“By tapping into the extensive experience and expertise within our team, we have enhanced our support capabilities across lending and insurance.”

Zane Low, who joined the team this week as an Auckland based Regional Manager, will focus on supporting mortgage advisers.
Low brings valuable experience from his previous roles at ANZ as a Commercial Relationship Associate and Partners Life as a Business Development Manager.
With the expansion of the Loan Market support team, led by National Director Nicole Ferguson, NZFSG mortgage advisers will now benefit from the dedicated support of William Laban (pictured far left), Northern Regional Manager and Shaun Fafeita (pictured centre left), Central/Southern Regional Manager.
“With a combined 20 years at NZFSG, William and Shaun possess a deep understanding of adviser businesses and are invaluable assets to our team. They are eager to provide renewed focus and support to their adviser panels,” said Martin.

Leading the insurance support division is Brent McGregor (pictured far right), joined by Auckland based Regional Manager Adam Daly (pictured centre right).
McGregor and Daly are well known and respected across the network and the wider industry for their commitment to quality advice and advocating for better insurance solutions for advisers and their clients.
Martin said: “The experience, expertise and passion they bring to the table is unmatched, and I am confident that insurance advisers will greatly benefit from the support offered by this dynamic duo.”
Enhanced support for new advisers
Additionally, Account Manager Tania Styche has taken on the new role of Induction Training Manager, where she will lead a 12-week program for advisers new to the NZFSG network.
This initiative is designed to equip them to deliver the best possible customer outcomes by effectively utilising the aggregator’s industry leading technology, services and support.
Martin concluded by stating that these changes align with NZFSG’s vision of empowering financial futures together, and strengthens their ability to meet the evolving needs of their adviser businesses and clients.
He looks forward to discussing these changes and the other focus areas of the business at their conferences in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland next week.
The news comes after NZFSG’s recent appointment of Nicole Riordan as its non-executive director.
